I wish to be a member of LBB because:
I visited the Wentzville LBB group for a Coffee and Connections and truly felt “at home” with these ladies. I am also the Walk Manager for the Jefferson County area as well as starting a brand new walk in Hannibal this year and would like to help this group possibly start a chapter in one or both of these areas also.
My main reason for joining LBB:
- Community Involvement
- I have attended the following LBB events:
- Coffee & Connections
My name is Stephanie Orf and I am the new Alzheimer’s Association Walk Manager for the Jefferson County/Arnold walk as well as starting our very first walk in Hannibal, Missouri. Prior to my experience in memory care I worked 20+ years in the medical field mostly transcription for orthopedics. I later started a new career as a Program Director working at Barathaven Alzheimer’s Special Care Center and I have learned just how important and special someone living with a form of dementia really is and how they, along with their caregivers, need all the support and love that they can get while living with this disease. Barathaven taught me to be compassionate and understanding, how to have patience when patience is needed and how to create meaningful moments for them each and every day. I am super excited and looking forward to being able to further raise awareness of Alzheimer’s and other dementia’s as well as hoping to someday find a cure and see our First Survivor.
